Pro Touch is a professional services company with a strong local reputation built entirely on word of mouth. Their digital presence, however, told a different story an outdated site that didn't communicate their quality, no clear way for new clients to get in touch, and zero visibility into what leads were actually coming through online.
They were leaving business on the table every week. Potential clients would visit, see nothing that built trust, and move on to a competitor with a better first impression even if Pro Touch's actual work was superior. The goal was to fix that gap and turn their website into their most reliable sales tool.
Competitor Research
We audited five direct competitors in Pro Touch's local market alongside national leaders in the professional services space looking at what was working and what wasn't across sites built on Squarespace, Wix, and custom WordPress installs. Key findings:
·Most competitor sites led with services, not outcomes visitors couldn't answer "why them" in under 5 seconds
·Contact forms were buried 2 to 3 clicks deep, costing qualified leads at the point of intent
·Zero social proof on homepages reviews existed on Google but weren't pulled into the site
·Mobile experiences were afterthoughts: slow load times, misaligned layouts, dead CTAs
·Template sites looked identical to competitors no differentiation in first impression
The opportunity was clear: a fast, conversion-structured custom site would immediately outperform every competitor in their market without a single dollar in ads.

Sub-2-second load on mobile. Images compressed and lazy-loaded. Core Web Vitals in the green across all tested devices
CMS Integration:
Content management layer allowing the client to update service descriptions, photos, and pricing without developer involvement
Conversion-Focused Design Decisions:
Every design decision was made with a specific visitor behaviour in mind. We mapped the five most common reasons a local services visitor bounces without converting, then designed against each one:
